Engine Air Filter
We recommend the best air filter you can afford.
When?
30,000 Miles
What? The engine air filter is the first line of defense in minimizing engine wear by keeping out fine particles.
Why? Any dirt, dust, or other particles that get past the air filter are sucked straight into the engine. Once inside, they can find their way into the oil, causing wear throughout the engine. This is why a premium filter is essential—cheap filters can allow wear particles to get through.
When? Typically, the air filter should be changed every 30,000 miles or less. If you drive on dusty roads or in dirty areas, it’s advisable to change your filter more frequently.
